Bonsaist ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Bonsaist mobile application.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when using the app:

• Account information (email address, display name)
• Bonsai collection data (tree names, species, photos, care logs)
• Device location (only when you explicitly set your climate zone)

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Bonsaist app
• Sync your collection data across your devices
• Send local notifications for care reminders (processed on-device)
• Generate public tree profiles when you choose to share them

Data Storage

Bonsaist is built offline-first. Your collection data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our secure cloud infrastructure. Photos are stored in encrypted form. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Public Tree Profiles

When you choose to share a tree via a public link, the selected tree's species, photos, and care history become publicly accessible at that URL. You can revoke public access at any time from within the app.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at privacy@rubigo.hr.

Children's Privacy

Bonsaist is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email.
